We have been set up at 29, Kumud Ranjan Mallick Path for quite some time now. Being right in the City Centre area of Durgapur 16 makes it easy for the team to get to work every morning. Premco Rail works closely with the rail side of things, and having a client like Lafarge India Ltd keeps our days pretty full. It is mostly about the logistics and the technical work involved with keeping the tracks in good shape for the cement plants. We do not really go for anything fancy here, just the day-to-day tasks that keep the trains moving. The office is easy to find if you are familiar with this part of West Bengal. People stop by quite often to talk about the upcoming jobs or to check on how the current work is progressing. It gets a bit dusty and loud with all the industrial activity nearby, but that is just how it is in this line of work. Most of the people working here live in the neighborhood, so we know the local roads and the layout of the city very well. We focus on the small details of the rail lines that most people probably never even notice. It is not exactly glamorous, but it is necessary work for the heavy haulage industry. We have seen the city change a lot from our window over the years, but we just keep doing what we do.
