M/S. Indra Kumar Gupta & Co.

Our office is located on New Road in Kulti, which is part of Paschim Burdwan. M/S. Indra Kumar Gupta & Co. has been operating from this same building for quite a long time. It’s a sturdy place, though the windows rattle whenever a heavy truck goes by on the main road outside. We handle a lot of the paperwork and local trade that goes through this part of the district. Kulti is an industrial kind of area, so there is always something moving around and a lot of noise. Our team is small, just a couple of clerks and a runner who takes documents to the post office. We don’t have a lot of modern furniture, mostly just wooden desks that have been here since the start. It feels like a real workplace, not some polished showroom for tourists. We have a lot of files stacked up in the corners because we haven't thrown much away over the decades. Most of the people we work with are local businesses we have known for twenty years or more. We sit around and talk about the weather or the price of goods while we wait for things to be signed. It isn't a fast-paced life, but it is steady. We open at ten and usually close up around six unless there is something urgent to finish. It is a decent way to spend the day for us.
