Mahaveer Medicine Center

Mahaveer Medicine Center is located right on Ukhra Station Road. We are near the Post Office in the Vishweshwari area of Ukhra. Being on the station road means there is never a dull moment. You can hear the trains coming and going all the time. People are always in a hurry to catch their ride or get home after a long trip. The shop stays quite busy because of where we are. We have a lot of stock kept in the back because the front area is mostly for the counters. I spend a lot of time unpacking crates and putting things away. Ukhra can be a dusty place, so we have to wipe the shelves down quite often. The local people around Ukhra Station Road are mostly friendly. They come in for their regular medicine and sometimes tell us about their families. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a practical shop with wooden counters and old shelves. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find things. It is just how it is here. My day starts around nine and usually does not end until late in the evening. There is always something to do, whether it is counting the change in the drawer or reordering supplies that ran out. We are just a local spot helping out the community here in Vishweshwari. It is hard work but it is what we do.
