We are located at E-23 on Columbia Street in Bidhan Nagar, Durgapur. This is another one of our spots for Graphite India Ltd. Bidhan Nagar is a well-known part of town, and Columbia Street is pretty easy to navigate once you’ve been here a few times. Our office is a straightforward place. We handle a lot of the communication and clerical work for the graphite business. It’s not a fancy setup with modern art on the walls. It’s just rows of cabinets, some old wooden chairs, and the sound of keyboards clicking. We’ve been at this address in West Bengal for a long time now. The people working here are mostly locals who have spent their lives in the industrial sector. We see a lot of the same faces every day. The routine is the same: arrive, check the overnight messages, and get to work on the logistics. Durgapur is a town that works hard, and we try to do the same. Sometimes the dust from the nearby industrial areas settles on everything, so we are always cleaning the desks. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the graphite orders are processed and the staff is looked after. It’s a decent place to work, and we all get along well enough. Usually, there’s someone heading out to grab samosas for the group in the afternoon. We have a radio that plays local news in the background. It keeps us company while we go through the tall stacks of invoices and inventory sheets.
