Nit Durgapur Off-road Sports

We are located over in the A-Zone of the NIT Durgapur campus, right on Mahatma Gandhi Avenue. It’s a part of the institute where you can often hear the sound of engines revving or tools clanking together. Our space isn't really an office in the traditional sense; it’s more of a workshop where we deal with all things related to off-road sports. There is usually some mud on the floor and a bit of grease on most of the door handles. We have various parts scattered around, from tires and suspension bits to frames that are being worked on. It’s a place for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. On a typical afternoon, you will find a few of us hunched over a vehicle, trying to figure out why something isn't clicking right or how to make a part fit better. The air usually smells like gasoline and burnt metal. We spend a lot of our time planning for the next event or just fixing up the gear we already have. Being on Mahatma Gandhi Avenue means we get a lot of students walking by, curious about the noise. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception area. It’s just benches, toolboxes, and whatever project is currently taking up the most space. It is a practical environment where the focus is entirely on the machines and the dirt tracks we hope to ride them on.
