Our spot is at 23 Haridas Smriti in the Rabindranagar area of Asansol. If you are familiar with the Burdwan district, you know this part of West Bengal is tied closely to industry and coal. Adhunik Metaliks Ltd has been operating out of here for some time now. The building isn't new, and it has that lived-in feel you get with places that actually do real work. Inside, it is mostly just us handling the day-to-day metal trade stuff. We deal with a lot of local contacts and people passing through the Pin 713304 area. It is not a corporate headquarters with glass walls or fancy rugs. It is a place where we sit down with a cup of tea and look over invoices and shipping dates. The neighborhood is fairly typical for Asansol, with a mix of homes and small businesses nearby. We have the usual office sounds like printers humming, people chatting about their weekend, and the occasional argument over where a file went. It is a bit cramped when we have a lot of visitors at once, but we make it work. The weather here can be quite humid, so the office can feel a bit stuffy in the late afternoons. We don't worry much about the decor or having fancy furniture. We just need enough space to get the orders processed and the metal moving to where it is supposed to go.
