Vinod Trading Co. is tucked into 7, National Chambers on Ashram Road. It’s a well-known building in a busy part of the city. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the shops around us change every few years. Our space is modest, just a few rooms filled with ledgers and samples. Being on Ashram Road means there’s always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a while. We do trading, which means a lot of phone calls and keeping track of who needs what and where it’s going. It’s not the kind of work that makes for great stories, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phones and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes the lift in National Chambers doesn’t work, so we have to take the stairs, which is a bit of a workout for everyone. We know our neighbors and we know our customers who have been coming to us for years. Vinod Trading Co. isn’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our trading and go home. It’s a practical life. We keep things simple and try not to overcomplicate the day. That’s just how we operate at number 7. We don't have any fancy brochures, just our word and our work.
