Suresh Sahu Photography

My name is Suresh and I run my photography business out of Prant Ganga Niwas. It’s a house in Subhash Nagar Ward No 42 right near the Chandrakar Kirana Store. Most people use the store as a landmark to find me. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time now. My setup isn't a big fancy studio with bright lights and backdrops everywhere. It's more of a home-based thing where I keep my cameras and lenses. When I’m not out taking pictures I’m usually here at the house editing or checking my gear. Subhash Nagar is a lively neighborhood and there’s always something going on outside the window. I like being close to the local shops and neighbors. Sometimes kids from the street peek in to see what I’m doing. Photography is something I just ended up doing and it stuck. I don’t use a lot of big words to describe what I do. I just take my camera and try to capture what I see. People come by Prant Ganga Niwas to talk about their events or just to see some of my old prints. It’s a very informal way of working but it works for me. I don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just me Suresh Sahu doing my best with a camera. If you are near the kirana store you are basically there. I usually have some tea ready if friends or neighbors drop by to talk.
