Somani & Sons

Somani & Sons is located right in Village Maharaj Pur, near the Pichola post office. We are situated along National Highway 6, so it's quite close to Raipur City if you are coming from that direction. My father and I run things here. It started as a small family thing and it still pretty much is. We handle a bit of everything that comes through Rajnandgaon. Being on the highway means we see a lot of travelers and trucks passing by all day. It gets loud with the traffic, but being near the city helps us move goods faster. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Usually, people just know us by word of mouth in the village. It’s a practical setup. We wake up early to beat the heat, especially during the summer months when it gets really hot in this part of the country. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, but we manage to keep the operations going. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the highway change quite a lot. There’s always work to do, whether it’s checking the inventory or talking to the neighbors about local trade. We just stick to what we know and try to stay busy every day. It’s honest work. Most people know my dad from when he first set up the shed.
