Shyam Bhandar

Shyam Bhandar is right on the Main Road, specifically Budh Bazar Road. If you know where Majholi Chowk is, you are basically there. We are very close to the Idbi Bank, which makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. It’s a very busy spot. There is always someone walking by or a car honking on the road. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. It can get a bit crowded inside when more than two or three people come in at once. We don’t mind though. It’s good to have the company. The area around Majholi Chowk is always full of life, especially on market days. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until late. It gets tiring sometimes, standing on your feet all day, but that’s the business. We don’t use any fancy systems or high-tech stuff. We just have our notebooks and our way of doing things. People in the neighborhood know us by name, and we know them. It’s a very local feel here. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when things are slow and just watch the traffic go by on Budh Bazar Road. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people who have been around for a while.
