Our office is in Berla, which is in the Durg district. We’re located right beside the LIC office and directly in front of the Janpad Panchayat. It’s a very central spot in Berla, so there’s always something happening outside our window. Mithlesh Sahu is the person who helps manage things here. We focus on exporting products out of India. Living and working in a place like Chattisgarh gives us a specific perspective on trade. Most of our day is spent talking to local producers and then figuring out how to get their stuff to the ports. It’s a long way from the coast, so the logistics can be tricky. We spend a lot of time on the phone with truck drivers and freight forwarders. The office is simple—just some chairs, desks, and a lot of paper. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or fancy coffee machines. We just make a pot of tea and get to work. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a slower pace than the big cities, but we still have plenty to do. We know the people at the LIC office and the Panchayat, so it feels like being part of a small community. We just try to keep the business running smoothly and ensure that every shipment leaves on time without any issues.
