Shreenath Dairy Farm

Shreenath Dairy Farm is located in the village of Funda, within the Patan Tahsil. We have been running this farm for quite a while now. It is a very basic operation where the focus is entirely on the animals and the milk they produce. Our day usually starts around four in the morning. That is when the first milking happens. It is a lot of hard work, and there are no days off because the cows need to be fed and cared for every single day of the year. We do almost everything by hand. We don't have the big, expensive machines that you might see on those massive commercial dairy farms. Our setup in Funda is small and manageable for us. Most of our time is spent in the sheds or out in the nearby fields where we get fodder for the cattle. It is a dusty and sometimes muddy job, depending on the weather in Patan. We don't have a formal office or any staff dedicated to paperwork. If we are not out with the cows, we are usually cleaning up or maintaining the equipment we do have. It is a simple life that revolves around the rhythm of the farm. We have lived in this village for generations and the dairy is just what we do. There is nothing fancy about it. We just show up every morning and do the work that needs to be done.
