Roshan Ahuja Photography is right near Csit. Being close to the college means there’s always young people around, which keeps the energy up in the neighborhood. The studio isn’t some massive warehouse with fancy lights everywhere. It’s a comfortable space where we keep all the cameras and lenses. Usually, the place is a bit of a mess with cables and backdrops leaning against the walls. We don't mind. It shows we’re working. We spend a lot of time looking at screens or checking the light coming through the windows. It’s not a corporate job. There’s no dress code here. Half the time, we’re just in t-shirts and jeans. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. Some days we are out on location, and the shop is locked up. Other days we are in here for twelve hours straight editing things. It’s just the reality of the work we do. We like being near Csit because it’s easy to find and there are good places to grab a quick bite. We aren't trying to be the most famous studio in the world. We just want to get the shots right and keep the gear clean. It’s a small operation, just Roshan and a couple of others helping out when things get busy. It feels real and grounded. We focus on the pictures and ignore the rest.
