Privet Clinic

Our clinic is right at Balram Chowk in the Krishna Nagar area of Supela. Bhilai can be a dusty place, especially with all the trucks moving around, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the front windows. It is called Privet Clinic on the board outside. People often ask if we meant to spell it that way, but that is just the name we have. The waiting room is small, maybe six or seven chairs at most. We have a little television in the corner that usually plays the news, but the sound is kept low. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cold. I usually come in early to open the shutters. The sun hits the front of the building right around ten in the morning. We get people coming in from all over Supela. Some people come from further away because they heard about us from a neighbor. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from the files to the cleaning. Sometimes we run out of space for all the folders on the shelf. It’s a bit cramped but it works for what we need. The shops nearby sell mobile phones and snacks, so there is always people hanging around outside. We just keep to our routine. It’s a simple setup and we don't try to make it anything it isn't.
