Bhilai is a town built on steel, so working with scrap metal feels like a natural fit for this area. Our spot is in Sector 8, specifically at Quarter No 3B on Street No-20. It’s a quiet enough street most mornings until the workday really kicks into gear and the noise picks up. We handle a lot of the scrap side of things, which means there’s always something moving in or out. The office itself is modest, just a regular quarter converted for our needs over the years. You can hear the sounds of the city and the industrial echoes if you listen closely enough from the porch. Chhattisgarh heat can be something else in the summer, so the old fans are always going. We’ve got a small team here who have been together for a while. We spend our time tracking what’s coming in and where it needs to go. It isn't a glamorous job, standing around metal and keeping manual logs, but it’s important for the cycle of the mills around here. Most of us have lived in Bhilai for decades, so we know the shortcuts and the best tea stalls nearby. We don't use much fancy technology, just what’s necessary to keep the records straight and the trucks moving. People drop by with questions about pickups or deliveries quite often. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in the office at once, but we get the job done without much fuss or bother.
