Larsen & Toubro Ltd.

Out here on Jewatala Road, near Post-Tatenga, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We’re a part of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. based in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The location is quite rural, so we’re surrounded by fields and quiet roads. Our office is more like a small hub for the work happening in this region. It’s a basic setup with some old desks and plenty of paper folders. We don’t have many visitors, so it’s usually just our small crew. We spend our time tracking progress on local sites and making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. Sometimes the internet connection is a bit spotty, but we work around it. It’s a lot of manual logging and phone calls to guys out in the field. People here are friendly and we all know the neighbors. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. If you’re looking for us, you just follow the road past the village. We focus on the practical stuff. There’s no talk of vision or big corporate strategies here. It’s just about getting the concrete poured or the materials moved. Lunchtime is usually when we sit together and talk about things other than work. Then it’s back to the ledgers and the site maps until it’s time to lock up. It’s honest work in a quiet place.
