Lakshmi Thread Works

If you take a walk down Langs Garden Road in Pudupet, you’ll find us at number 16/1. Lakshmi Thread Works has been part of this neighborhood for a good long time. Pudupet is a place where everyone is selling something or fixing something, and we fit right in with our thread business. The shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of spools and supplies. It might look a bit disorganized to someone from the outside, but we know exactly where every color and type of thread is kept. There’s a certain rhythm to life here on Langs Garden Road. The traffic is always buzzing outside the door, and people are always popping in to ask for a specific match. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us, the threads, and our customers. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty from all the fibers, and the old ceiling fan makes a bit of noise, but it’s home to us. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but 16/1 has stayed pretty much the same. We prefer it that way. It’s a local business run by local people who understand what it means to put in a full day's work. We don't need any fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide thread to those who need it.
