Jln Hospital & Research Centre Bhilai

Working at the JLN Hospital in Bhilai means things are always moving. Our specific spot is in Sector 9, specifically OPD No 5B over in the Nawagaon area. It is a big place and can be a bit confusing if you are not used to the layout of the hospital grounds. We spend most of our shift in that one section, seeing one person after another. There are always people waiting in the corridors, sitting on the benches or just leaning against the walls. It is a research centre too, so sometimes there are students or researchers walking around with clipboards looking very serious. The air conditioning in the OPD can be a bit hit or miss, so some days it is quite stuffy. We have the usual hospital smell of cleaner and medicine mixed together. My desk is tucked in a corner near the window, but I do not get much time to look out at Nawagaon. There are always files to update and patients asking where the lab is or how to get their reports. It is a busy environment and the noise of names being called out over the speakers never really stops. We just try to keep the line moving and help whoever sits down in front of us. It is hard work and the days are long, but this is just how a big hospital in Bhilai operates every single day.
