Gupta Press has been a fixture on Station Road in Polsay Para for quite a long time. We are located near Subhash Chowk, which is one of the busiest parts of the neighborhood. Being on Station Road means there is a constant stream of people passing by our door from early morning. The shop is filled with the smell of paper and that specific heavy scent of printer ink that never really goes away. We have some older machines that still work perfectly fine if you know how to treat them right. A lot of our work is wedding cards, bill books, and local pamphlets. It is a bit of a traditional setup where we do everything on-site. The noise can be a lot when the offset machine is running at full speed, but we don't mind it much anymore. Sometimes people come in just to chat because we’ve been here so long. We don't use any high-tech automation or anything, just manual labor and a good eye for how the ink sits on the page. Polsay Para is our home, and we like being part of the community here. Every now and then the paper prices go up and we have to explain that to our regulars, which isn't always fun. But mostly, it’s just about getting the stacks of paper printed, cut, and packed for the day’s customers. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve followed for years.
