Gammon India Limited

We are based in Sector 7 of Bhilai, specifically at Quarter number 11/A on Street 18. If you know Bhilai, you know these quarters are pretty standard for the area. It’s an industrial town, so everything has that functional, no-nonsense feel. Our office is right in the middle of a residential block, which makes it feel a bit more like a home than a workplace. We’ve got our desks set up in the different rooms, and the main hall is where we keep all the project files. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when the shift changes happen at the nearby plants. We handle a lot of the structural work and coordination for the local projects from this spot. There are about six or seven of us here regularly. We spend a lot of time checking specs and making sure the supplies are moving along the tracks. It gets humid in the summer, but we just keep the windows open and get on with it. There’s a small garden area outside that we don’t really take care of, but it’s there. We aren't here to look pretty; we're just here to make sure the engineering side of the business is handled correctly for the Durg district. It’s a steady place with a lot of history. Most of the people working here have lived in Bhilai for their whole lives, so we feel connected to the town. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
