Bhilai Masala Udyog

Bhilai Masala Udyog is right on the Main Road in Bhilai Sector 6. We are at Plot No -128, which is very close to the Sai Baba Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. Working with spices means the air around Plot No -128 always smells like something or other. Sometimes it’s chilly powder that makes you sneeze, and other times it’s the warmer smell of turmeric or coriander. It’s a dusty job but someone has to do it. The Main Road is always crowded with traffic, so there’s a lot of honking and noise all day long. We’ve lived with that sound for so long we barely notice it anymore. The building is a basic concrete structure. We keep the machines running most of the day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work. People come in and out, and we try to keep things moving. Sector 6 is a busy part of Bhilai, and being on the Main Road helps people drop by without much trouble. We don't have any fancy brochures. What you see is what you get. Just a bunch of us grinding and packing masala near the temple. It’s a steady routine that we’ve stuck to for years now. We just do our bit every day.
