About Bansal Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Durg
Out here in Village Sankra, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We are situated in the Patan tehsil, and the landscape is mostly open fields and dirt tracks. Bansal Bricks is basically just a part of the local scenery now. We wake up early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the kilns ready. It’s physical work. You feel it in your back by the time evening rolls around. There isn’t much to say about the village life other than it’s quiet until the trucks start rolling in. We have a lot of local guys working with us, people who have lived in Sankra their whole lives. We don’t use any high-tech machinery here. It’s mostly hands-on, molding the clay and making sure the fire is just right. Sometimes the mud is too wet, sometimes the heat is too much, but we manage. People from the nearby towns come to us because they know where we are. We don’t really do any advertising. Word of mouth usually does the trick in a place like this. When we aren’t working, we’re probably sitting in the shade having some water. It’s a basic setup, really. No big corporate meetings or fancy talk. Just a lot of bricks and a lot of dirt. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do every day. We don't have much else to do but keep at it.
