Dilip Tent Light Decoration

My business, Dilip Tent Light Decoration, is located over on Mathugamda Road. It is mostly a big warehouse space where we keep all the heavy stuff like iron poles, rolls of colorful fabric, and boxes of light bulbs. Doing tent work is not easy, it’s mostly about physical labor and being out in the sun. When someone has a function or a wedding coming up, they come to find us here. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading the truck with all the material needed to build a temporary structure. The lighting part is what I find most interesting, even though it can be a bit frustrating when a whole string of bulbs won't turn on because of one loose connection. We are often out at the sites for many hours, sometimes even through the night, making sure everything is set up properly before the guests arrive. The shop on Mathugamda Road can look a bit messy with pieces of rope and bits of wire lying around, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we all pitch in when there’s a big job to do. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to people about what they need for their event. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do and we’ve been at it for years now. It’s just about getting the job finished on time.
