Tingrai Chariali Bricks

Tingrai Chariali Bricks is located over in Duliajan, out in the Dibrugarh district. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know the roads can get a bit muddy when the monsoon hits, but we stay busy regardless. Our yard is full of red bricks stacked high, and there is always the sound of someone loading a tractor or a truck. It’s a dusty job, and most of us go home with orange dirt on our clothes every single evening. We’ve been at this Post-Duliajan location for quite a while, and the locals know where to find us. We don't have a big fancy sign or a reception area with air conditioning. Usually, you’ll just find a couple of us standing near the kiln or checking the latest batch that came out of the fire. The sun gets really hot here in Upper Assam, so we start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. It’s hard work, moving these bricks one by one, but it is what we do. We just focus on getting the stacks ready for whoever needs them for their house or wall. The Dibrugarh weather keeps us on our toes, but the work never really stops for long. It’s a simple life here at the brickyard, just making sure the quality is okay and the count is right for the customers. We don't do much else besides this, day in and day out.
