Ashok Chicken Center

We have been running this chicken center out of house number 2-58 for a long time now. Rekhampally is a quiet enough place, but we stay busy here in Duggondi. People around here know exactly where to find us. We get the birds in early every morning. It’s a lot of physical work getting everything ready before the sun gets too high and the heat starts. We aren't a big shop with a fancy storefront, just a local spot for people to get what they need for their dinner. My hands are usually busy with the work, so I don't spend much time sitting down at a desk. The address is just our house, really. We have a dedicated space set up out front for the business. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while we are working. It’s a simple life we have here. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights. Just the name Ashok Chicken Center on the wall so people know it’s us. The birds are kept in the back where it’s a bit cooler. In the evenings, it gets quite busy when everyone is coming home from their jobs. We stay open until the last of the stock is gone. It's hard work and the smell of the shop is something you just get used to. We don't mind it much anymore. It's how we make our living here in the village.
