Swmkhwr Bilai Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers from around Jharbari and the Dotma Developmentblock area. Our office is actually just over at Bhuban Mushahary’s place, which makes it easier for everyone to stop by when they have a minute. It isn't a big fancy building or anything like that. Mostly, we just sit together and talk about the crops and how the season is going in Serfanguri. Being a Producer Company sounds a bit formal, but really it's just us local people trying to handle our business better. Some days it is very quiet, and other days the yard is full of people from the village. The roads out here can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we usually meet up when the weather allows. Most of us have been farming this land for a long time, so we know the dirt around here pretty well. We deal with whatever is growing at the time. It is a lot of work and sometimes the market prices aren't what we want, but having this group helps us stay organized. If you are passing through Jharbari, you will find us near the post office area. We don't have much of a schedule, we just show up when there is work to do or things to move. It’s just how things go for us here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the farming side of things stays steady for everyone involved.
