Being over here in Kasturi Vihar on Kalyan Chel Road puts us right in the middle of a lot of traffic. We are quite close to the Vanktesh Petrol Pump, so we see a lot of people pulling in and out all day long. Dombivili East is a busy area, and the road noise never really stops. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess with parts and tools scattered around because there is always a project halfway finished. We don't really care about having a polished showroom look because we are more focused on the mechanical side of things. The guys here usually have grease under their fingernails and a bit of dirt on their shirts by lunch time. It’s hot work, especially when the sun is beating down on the road outside. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers who are worried about their motors making strange noises. We listen, take a look, and try to figure out what’s actually going wrong. Sometimes it’s a simple fix, and sometimes it’s a headache that takes all day. There is no corporate manual here; we just handle things as they come. We’ve got a small desk for the papers, but mostly we are out on the floor. It’s just a regular business trying to stay on top of the work and keep the engines running in this part of town. We open up early and stay until the last job of the day is done.
