Our space is tucked away in Flat No.- 204 of the Prathamesh Appartment building on Nandivli Road. Being in Dombivili (E), we are right in the middle of a very active neighborhood, especially since Pragati College is just a short distance away. You can often hear the students walking by or the general hum of the street from our balcony. The apartment itself is a regular residential unit that we have converted into our main operating base. It has a kitchen area where we keep the kettle going for tea and a couple of rooms where we keep all our files and inventory organized. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs if the elevator is acting up, which happens once in a while, but usually, it is a quiet and steady place to work. We spend a lot of time here checking over orders and making sure everything is where it should be. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we have large windows that let in the afternoon sun, which makes it feel a bit more open. It’s not the kind of place that looks like a corporate office, but it works for us. We know the security guard at the gate and the people living in the other flats, so it feels very much like a community. If you are coming from the main road, just look for the college and you will know you are in the right spot for Prathamesh Appartment.
