You’ll find Asuwaldi Pharmaceuticals over at D-9 in the M.I.D.C. Phase-2 area on Manpada Road. It’s an industrial zone, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of machinery nearby. Our building is a simple one, built for function rather than looking pretty. We spend our days managing the pharmaceutical side of things from the ground floor. It’s a bit of a dusty area, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve got a small crew here. Most of us live nearby, so we don’t have to deal with the worst of the Mumbai commute. Inside, it’s mostly shelves of stock and a few desks for the admin stuff. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just says hello. We started this business because we knew the industry and saw a way to make it work for us. It’s been a few years now, and we’re still here, which is saying something. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just supply medicines and make sure the orders are right. If there’s a problem, we fix it. It’s a very hands-on way of running a business, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We aren't looking to become famous, just to keep the lights on and the orders moving.
