Down here at Plot No. W-31 in Phase-2 of the M.I.D.C. area in Dombivali East, things stay pretty busy. If you know this part of town, you know it’s mostly factories and industrial units. Altra Pharma Chem has been tucked away in this corner for years. The road outside can get quite dusty, especially when the big trucks go by. Inside, we have our setup for handling different chemical processes. It’s a practical space. We have the manufacturing floor and a small area for the office work. There is always the sound of some pump or mixer running in the background. We usually start quite early to beat the heat, though the sheds still get warm in the afternoons. Our team is a mix of people who have been with us since the start and some newer faces from the surrounding housing colonies. We eat lunch together in the small break room. It’s not a corporate setup where everything is scripted. We just handle the orders as they come in and try to keep the inventory sorted. Sometimes we run into issues with the power or the water supply, which is common in these industrial belts, but we manage. We aren’t trying to do anything flashy; we just make sure the chemical batches are prepared right and sent out on time. It’s simple, hard work. There is no need for big speeches when there is a list of tasks waiting for us.
