Aziaheera Rice Mill

It's usually pretty loud here at the mill on Doma Road once the machines get going in the morning. We are out in Ainapur Village at Survey No 330, and if you know the area, you know it gets quite dusty when the trucks are coming in and out. Most days start early because there is always a lot to get through before the sun gets too high. We’ve been here a while now, just handling the rice and making sure everything is moving along. The building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical place for the work we do. Sometimes the road out here gets a bit rough after it rains, which makes things a bit slower for the transport guys. People from the village stop by often, and there’s always someone around the yard checking on the sacks. It is a lot of physical work, moving things around and keeping the equipment running right. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small space to keep the records and a couple of chairs for visitors. Sometimes the power goes out, and everything stops, then we just wait it out until things come back on. It’s a simple life out here on the edge of the village. We just focus on what needs to be done that day. There’s a lot of noise and a lot of grain, but that is just how a rice mill is supposed to be.
