We have been here at number 7 on Mohammed Ali Road for quite some time now. People in Anekal Taluk know the Basavaraj Building well, so it’s always pretty easy to find us. We mostly deal with steel rods, plates, and whatever else builders or local guys need for their projects. It’s a busy spot and the traffic outside can get a bit much during the afternoons, but we manage. My father started things out small and then we just kept going with it as the years went by. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a place where we keep the stock and talk to customers who walk in. Most days are spent checking the inventory or making sure the loading is happening correctly. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but that’s just how the steel business goes. We know most of the regular contractors around here by name. They come in, have a quick chat, check the prices, and get what they need. We try to keep things straightforward and honest because that’s how you keep people coming back. Sometimes things get delayed with the suppliers, but we tell the customers how it is. No point in making up stories or hiding facts. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with more buildings going up every month. Being right here on the main road helps us stay in the middle of all that activity. We just focus on getting the work done day by day.
