Shobha Steels

Our office is up on the 8th floor of Paresh Tower, which is right in the middle of New Loha Mandi. Being at Shobha Steels means we spend a lot of our day looking out at the trucks coming and going downstairs. The Mandi is always loud and crowded with steel being moved around, but up in 801, it’s a bit more removed from the grit. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and samples everywhere. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. The elevator in Paresh Tower can be slow sometimes, so we end up waiting around and chatting with the neighbors a lot. Most of the people around here have been in the steel business for years. We handle the daily calls and the paperwork that comes with the territory. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and checking figures. The sun really heats up the office in the afternoon, so we keep the blinds pulled halfway down. We usually have some snacks tucked away in a drawer for when the day gets long. It’s a typical Mandi office, really. No big corporate vibe here, just a few of us trying to stay on top of the orders. We’ve been in this spot long enough that the security guards know us by name. It’s just how we operate. It’s a long way down to the street, so we make sure to have everything we need before we head up in the morning.
