Modtech Engineering Models

We are based out in Jigani Industrial Area at No 95. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s a long drive and the roads can be a bit rough with all the heavy trucks. Modtech Engineering Models is a place where we make things you can hold in your hand. It’s not a clean, white-carpet office. It’s a workshop with the smell of glue, paint, and cut metal. We have various tools and machines that take up most of the floor space. Most days involve looking at blueprints and trying to figure out how to scale them down into a physical model. It’s tedious work, and your hands usually end up stained by the end of the shift. We aren’t corporate types; we’re just folks who like building things. The fans stay on all day to blow away the dust, but it still settles on everything. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to a piece that needs to dry or a part that isn't fitting quite right. It can be frustrating when a model doesn't look like the drawing, but we keep at it until it’s done. We don’t have a sales team or a mission statement on the wall. We just have our benches and our tools. It’s a quiet life out here in Jigani, away from the city’s main buzz. We finish up, lock the gate, and head home tired.
