Ravi Kumar Farms

Ravi Kumar Farms sits out on Ubhawal Road, right in the middle of the Ubhawal Industrial Area. It is a bit of a mix of farming and industrial vibes around here. The road gets quite dusty when the heavy trucks go by, and sometimes the noise from the nearby factories is a bit much, but we have been here for a while. We spend a lot of time looking at the sky, wondering if the rain will actually show up when the crops need it. The land keeps us busy from the moment the sun comes up. There is always a fence to fix or a tractor that needs some oiling. We aren't a big fancy operation, just some people working the ground and trying to get things to grow. Our sheds are full of old tools and half-empty bags of supplies. Sometimes the neighbors from the industrial plots stop by to chat or ask about what we are planting this season. It gets really quiet at night once the factories shut down and the traffic on Ubhawal Road thins out. We don’t have a big office or anything, mostly we just meet people out in the yard or near the gate. Life moves at its own pace here, dictated by the seasons and the mechanical problems we have to solve every other day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
