Rajwani Millers

Our place, Rajwani Millers, is right on the Main Road near Nehru Chowk here in Tahsil Waraseoni. It’s a central spot so we see everyone passing by to the market. We do a lot of milling for the local people and small traders around this district. The machines we use are old but they still do the job well enough. There is always a layer of fine dust on the windows and the floor, no matter how much we sweep. I usually spend my time talking to customers who bring in their grain or come to buy what we have processed. We don't have a big corporate office, just a small desk in the corner of the mill where I keep the books. The noise from the street mixes with the hum of the motors inside. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to take a break until it comes back. We don't really do any advertising; people just know where we are because we’ve been at Nehru Chowk for so long. It is a family-run operation, so you’ll often see my cousins or my father helping out with the bags. The work is physical and we go home tired every day. We just try to get the milling done right so people are happy with what they take home. It’s a basic business but it keeps the community fed and that's enough for us. It’s just honest work.
