Vishal Soda Company

If you walk down Pattali Street near Palani Koil Adivaram, you will find us easily. We are right near Karthik Vidhya Mandir Matriculation School. You can usually hear the sound of the bottles clinking together from the street. Vishal Soda Company has been our life for a long time. It is a family thing, really. We spend our days filling up the glass bottles and making sure the gas is just right. During the school break, it gets loud with all the kids outside, which reminds us of the time of day. The building is old, with high ceilings that help keep it a bit cooler when we are working the machines. We don't have a big office or anything. There’s just a desk in the corner where we keep the books and a few chairs for when someone stops by to chat. The water comes in, we do our work, and the crates go out. That is the whole cycle. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, and it’s a pain to load the truck, but we manage. We know most of the people around here by name. It’s a tight-knit spot near the temple area. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just make soda and try to get home for dinner at a decent hour. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way. The work is physical and keeps us tired but it is good.
