Our place is over in Anna Nagar, which is a fairly well-known part of the city. Vimala Hospital Pvt Ltd has been operating here for a while now, right in the heart of the residential blocks. It’s a decent-sized building where we have different floors for different things. Some days are very quiet, and other days it feels like everyone in Anna Nagar has decided to visit at the same time. We have a staff that has been with us for a long time, so they know how everything works. The rooms are basic but they have what is needed for patients to stay over. We see a lot of families coming in, especially since we’ve been in the neighborhood so long. You can hear the sounds of the street outside, but inside we try to keep things as calm as possible. We don’t go in for fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s more about having the right medicine on the shelves and making sure the floors are mopped. People come here because it is convenient and they know the name. We have our routine every morning, checking the charts and making sure the supplies are stocked up. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of details. We just keep our heads down and do what we are supposed to do for the folks around here. There is always someone available if there is an emergency.
