We are running our business out of Chinnaiyampatti, which is in the Kottaiyur Post area of Natham Taluka. Our door number is 3/21. It’s a small, quiet place in the Dindigul district. We handle chit funds here. Most days, it’s just us sitting at the desks, looking over the ledgers and making sure the numbers add up for the month. We have been here for a good while now. The office isn't anything fancy. It’s got some chairs for people to sit when they come in to pay their monthly amounts. We use paper books for most of our record-keeping because that is what we are used to. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it tidy. People from around the village come in and talk for a bit while we do the paperwork. There is no big corporate office feel here. It’s just a local spot where people know our faces. We spend a lot of time on the phone calling members about the auction dates. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool enough. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here by word of mouth. It’s a simple way to run things. We focus on the daily tasks of collecting and distributing the funds. There isn't much else to it. We just stay open during the day and head home when the work is finished.
