Rsk Exports

Our place is No:8/2/19D/20 on Aranmanai Kottai Street. It’s a long address for a small business in Nilakkottai. The street is narrow, and sometimes the big delivery vans have a hard time turning the corner without hitting the curb. At Rsk Exports, the work is mostly about packing and sorting things for travel. There are always rolls of bubble wrap and rolls of tape lying around the tables. We have a lot of crates stacked up against the walls. The air in Nilakkottai usually smells like flowers because of the markets nearby, which is nice when we have the windows open. The office is just a corner with a couple of old wooden desks and a filing cabinet that sticks. We spend a lot of time making sure the labels are stuck on straight and the addresses are clear. It gets pretty loud when everyone is working at once, especially with the sound of the tape dispensers. We have a small courtyard in the back where we keep the empty pallets. Sometimes we sit out there for a tea break if the sun isn't too hot. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and moving things around, but it keeps us moving. We don't have a big sign outside, just the number on the door. It’s a quiet way to run a business. We just keep our heads down and handle the shipments as they come in.
