We are over at 212, R.R. Cotton Mill on Palani Road. Rikki Masala has been here for a while, tucked into this part of the old mill area. Palani Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a lot of noise outside our doors. We don't mind it because it feels like the world is moving around us. Our space inside the R.R. Cotton Mill is where we do all the mixing and packing. It’s an old building with a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. We keep our operation pretty simple. We don't have a lot of workers, just enough to get the job done right. We focus on the masalas we know best. Every day is pretty much the same—we start early, get the machines going, and work through the batches. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We don't spend money on big ads or fancy signs. Most of our customers know us from word of mouth or because they see us when they are driving down Palani Road. We try to keep our prices fair and our quality consistent. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things the right way. If you come by 212, you’ll see us there, probably covered in a bit of spice dust and just getting on with it. We aren't fancy, but we know how to work hard.
