Priya Arts is located at No. 1-6-19 in Nehruji Nagar, which is in the Gandhigram area of Dindigul. It’s a small place, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of art supplies and finished pieces inside. The street outside is usually quiet, except for when school finishes and the kids walk past. I’ve been working on my art here for a long time. It started as a small hobby and just turned into this. The walls are covered in different sketches and paintings, some of which have been there for years. There’s always a faint smell of paint and paper in the air, which I’ve grown to like. People from Nehruji Nagar often stop by just to see what’s new or to buy some basic supplies. I don't have a big gallery or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where I spend my days. The lighting isn't perfect, so I have to move my table around depending on where the sun is. Gandhigram is a nice, peaceful part of Dindigul to work in. Sometimes the neighbors bring over some snacks while I’m busy. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks. If people like what they see in the window, they come in. I spend a lot of time cleaning brushes and organizing jars of ink. It’s a lot of slow work, but I don't mind the pace. It feels like home to me after all this time and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I just keep painting.
