Mani Masala

Mani Masala is located right at 2, Madurai Road in Usilampatti. If you look across the street, you will see the Taluka Office, so we get a lot of people passing by who are there for official business. Madurai Road is one of those places that never really goes quiet. There is always a bus or a truck rumbling past our front door. Our shop is quite simple and we have kept it that way for a long time. We do not see any reason to change things just to look modern. The walls have a few marks and the floor is worn down from people walking in and out, but it feels right to us. We have a small counter and some shelves that hold everything we need. Most of our day is spent dealing with people who stop by or checking on the inventory in the back room. It can get quite dusty because of the traffic outside, so we are always dusting things off. The heat in Usilampatti can be tough in the summer months, but we just deal with it like everyone else does. We are just a local business trying to keep things moving along. There are no big bosses here, just us doing the work and talking to the regulars who come by to say hello. It is a plain way of living but it works for us. We just focus on what is in front of us today.
