Mahe Chit Funds is located in Sendurai, which is part of the Natham taluk in Dindigul district. Our address is 1/218. It is a bit of a rural area, and we like it that way. The office is a simple one, nothing like what you would see in a big city. We handle things for the local people who live and work around Natham. Most of us who work here are from the nearby villages ourselves. We spend the day talking to people who come in to pay their dues or check on the next auction date. We do not have any polished brochures or fancy uniforms. We just wear what we would wear any other day. The desks are a bit cluttered with papers because there is always something to write down. We keep the ledgers safe and make sure the math is right every time. It can be a long day when the weather is hot, but we keep the water pot full and just keep going. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just a small chit fund trying to help the locals manage their money. People trust us because they know where we live and who our families are. It is a small-town way of doing business and we do not plan on changing that anytime soon. We just keep the collections moving along.
