Engineer

Down here in the Dindigul district, you can find me on Solia Vellalar Street in M. Vadipatti. My full address is 14-1-52, and I am the son of M. Andiapillai. This is a traditional area, and my engineering work is done right from this local street where I live. It’s not a big city environment like Chennai or Madurai. It’s much more relaxed here, but the work is still serious and keeps me occupied. I’ve been handling engineering tasks for the local community for quite a while now. My workspace is just a part of the house that I’ve converted to fit my needs. It has all my tools and parts scattered around in a way that only I really understand. I don’t go for any of that polished business language because that’s not who I am. I’m just a regular person who knows how to fix things and build things. People around here know my family name, so they trust me with their equipment. The weather in Dindigul gets quite hot, especially in the summer months, but we just work through it with the fan on. I don't have a website or any big advertisements. Word spreads through the neighbors and friends at the local tea shop. If you need something looked at, you can just come by the street and ask for the engineer’s house. I’m usually there unless I’ve gone out to source some materials in town. It’s a quiet life, but I enjoy the challenge.
