DREAM KODAI Constructions

We are based up here in Kodaikanal, not too far from the main lake. DREAM KODAI Constructions started because we wanted to help people build homes that actually fit in with the hills and the landscape. Building up here is very different than in the plains because of the steep slopes and the constant rain. We have spent a lot of years figuring out the best way to handle the local stone and the damp weather that can ruin a project. Our office is a simple place where we keep our blueprints and meet with people who want to build something. Most of the time, you will find us out at a construction site rather than sitting behind a desk. The mist rolls in almost every afternoon, which can really slow down the outdoor work, but we are used to it by now. We aren’t a big city firm with shiny brochures or fancy cars. We are just local builders who know these hills better than anyone else. We hire local workers who understand the terrain too. It is a lot of physical labor and coordinating trucks on those narrow, winding roads. Sometimes things take a bit longer than expected because of a landslide or heavy rain, but we always get the job finished in the end. People come to us because they want a house that looks like it belongs in Kodai. We just take one project at a time and do it right.
