Our place is in Islampur, specifically at Plot 591 on Shibmandir Road. It is in the Chiprajhar Bazar area, which stays pretty active most days of the week. We are involved in the tea industry. Being in Uttar Dinajpur, tea is a big part of life for almost everyone around here. The building we use is not very old, but it has seen a lot of use already. We have a good amount of space for the leaves and the processing equipment. It gets quite dusty sometimes, but that is just a part of the tea job. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in from the gardens. It involves a lot of walking back and forth between the storage area and the packing tables. The humidity can be a real pain during the monsoon months, so we have to be extra careful with the tea. We are not trying to be some massive company. We are just local people who know a bit about the tea business. The road outside can get quite muddy when the rains are heavy. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to restart, but we always find things to do. We keep the records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the orders. It is simple, honest work. Most of the staff live just a short walk away. We see the same people every day at the bazar. It is a busy life.
