Ramkanta Prajasahayak Nidhi Limited

We started Ramkanta Prajasahayak Nidhi Limited here in Hemtabad a little while ago. Our office is over at Sunil Biswas’s place in Kasimpur, which most people around Uttar Dinajpur know. It is just a small setup really. We spend most of our days dealing with the paperwork that comes with running a Nidhi company. People from the village drop by to talk about their savings or just to see how things are going. It gets quite busy on market days. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but we get the work done anyway. Sukanta Biswas helps keep everything organized. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some desks, chairs, and a few ledgers. The address is easy to find if you are heading through 733128. Living and working in the same area means we see our members at the grocery store or the tea stall every evening. It makes the work feel more personal, I guess. We try to keep things straightforward. No one here wears a suit unless there is a very big reason for it. Mostly it's just us handling the daily accounts and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. It's quiet work, but it keeps us involved with the folks nearby. We’ve been at this for a bit now and the routine is pretty set. We usually close up before it gets dark outside.
