Liniza Garments Manufacturing Unit

Our manufacturing unit is over by Burma Kem, right near the Hong Kong Market. It’s a lively spot to be in, that’s for sure. At Liniza Garments, there is always the sound of fabric being cut or machines humming. The Hong Kong Market area is always packed with people, so it can be a bit of a struggle just to get to the door in the mornings. Inside, we have rows of workstations where the garments are put together. It isn’t a high-fashion studio; it’s a factory floor. We have rolls of cloth leaned against the walls and threads of every color imaginable scattered about. The lighting is bright so everyone can see what they are doing. We work pretty hard to keep up with the orders that come through. It gets dusty with all the lint in the air, but we’re used to it. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. Sometimes we have lunch together in the back where it’s a bit quieter. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy entrance. People usually find us because they know the area well. It’s a busy, somewhat messy place, but that is just how garment making is. We stay focused on the stitching and making sure the pieces look right before they go out the door.
