You can find us right opposite the S. P. Office in the Hotel Orient Complex on Kohima Road. It is a busy part of town, so there is always someone walking by or a car pulling up. I sit at a desk most of the day handling the bookings for cars and buses. I have a big calendar where I mark down who needs to go where. A lot of people come in asking for the best way to get across the hills or into the next town. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and making sure they have enough petrol for the trip. The office is small, and we share the hallway with other shops in the complex. I keep a few chairs for people to wait while I check the schedules. Sometimes the internet is slow, and I have to write the receipts out by hand. The noise from Kohima Road is constant, but it helps pass the time. I drink my tea while looking out at the traffic near the SP office. It isn’t an easy job because someone is always running late or a road gets blocked by a slide. I just try to keep everything organized so the travelers don't get stuck. We have a few maps pinned to the wall, though most people just ask me for directions. It’s just daily work, moving people from one place to another.
